What Are My Rights?

You can make a claim for compensation if you have had an accident that wasn’t your fault. This includes road accidents, accidents at work, medical negligence or an accident in a public place.

You have the right to:

  • A no win no fee agreement: This is outlined in the Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) that your solicitor will ask you to sign when we take on your claim. In short, it is a means of protection and ensures that you will not have to pay a penny if your case proves unsuccessful
  • Choose your legal representation: It is up to you to choose a law firm and choose the expert who deals with your case. This right applies through the entirety of your case i.e. if you are unhappy with the way your case is being handled, you can make a request for it to be transferred to another solicitor or different firm altogether
  • End your case: At any point during your claim, you have the right to terminate your instructions to us. However, by doing this you may become liable for any fees and expenses we have incurred on your behalf
  • Speak to your solicitor: You can speak to your solicitor as often or as seldom as you wish. They will answer any questions you have in regards to your case and provide guidance when needed

It is important to note that there is a statue of limitations on all personal injury claims. This means you can only make a claim up to three years after your accident. However, there are some exceptions to this. For more information on your rights, contact Lance Mason today.
